Breaking 1: Base Training Week #4

Really busy week

I haven’t started a new job in 6 years. And the last time I started a new job, there wasn’t much “onboarding” to do because I joined a startup and had to create everything from scratch. (Btw, I’m not sure if I have shared the photo comparing my 1st week and last week at my old job. You know I mentioned the name of the employer and then deleted it because we don’t want another “scandal”):

My 1st day at my new job, I was introduced to the infrastructure and boy, I didn’t sleep too well on Monday night. It’s unbelievable how huge the infrastructure is here. They have 1000 employees just here in Lausanne. Then they have two other campuses and then there’s students, teachers and other support staff. But indeed, this job was something I was missing in my life, waking up to go to work in a place where I am excited to make a change. My schedule has had to be revised and of course, it being my 1st week, I chose not to have home office days so that I get to know the team better. So, I have been running earlier in the morning and roughly taking the same time for commuting but in a different direction. Life is busy and I definitely need time to decompress.

I am an introvert. Reading my blogs, it might not seem that way but I am able to say a lot of stuff here just because I am not facing anyone and I don’t have to stare…
