It’s no secret that I have this very military way of living where every minute of the day is scheduled. I go from activity to activity, without break. I am not claiming I am very military: When it comes to cleaning my military discipline seems to disappear, for example. But in terms of following a schedule, I am comfortable with the rhythm of my life. I have a feeling that when people say that they do not have time to do something, they just haven’t planned their day well enough. I am sure there are mishaps and lapses but in general, my belief is that scheduled life can allow you enough time for the things you want to do. My favorite quote is “Only the disciplined in life are free” by Eliud Kipchoge.

Within my scheduled life, I have a certain things which are receive a priority: Time with family, time to run and a bit of stretching time. I am not saying that my job is not my priority, when I am at work it comes first. I will not day-dream about going for a run during work hours. It is how I earn my living. Life’s priorities are scheduled around the job because no matter how much I would love to work very flexible hours, I would need to become an independent contractor to live like that. (I might work in that direction in the future.) That’s why I like working from home because it gives you a lot more independence to plan your day.

PS: That’s why I prefer morning runs. Once out of the way, I do not need to think about running. Until I am doing a double. In which case, you can only
